I ended up with 4th in the novice and not placing in the Fit Model. Funny, I registered for Figure on Tuesday and didn't build or practice for it. I guess its true: stick to what you know! From now on I'll focus on my strengths, Figure. All that "shaking" isn't for me.
This was my 5th show. Pros & Cons ...
Pros:
~I came in the leanest I've ever been. No clue on BF% (maybe 12-13%)
~My posing was sharp and crisp
Cons: Bitch-fest about to begin in 3....2....1......
~The show! Really: 5 hours for prejudging & 6 hours for the night show!
~Fit Model: what a joke! They said pose like you would in Oxygen NOT Playboy.
~I am SO tired of judges training athletes. It's such an unfair advantage to the other athletes.
~My tan. I just can't get dark enough and rejects the bronzers.
~No matter what I did I couldn't get pumped up. I think the tan had something to do with it. My veins & muscles were flat, abs were weak, etc. I need to really focus on show diet next time. Find out what works for me and what doesn't (reference: sweet potatoes, oatmeal, rice cakes, peanut butter, jelly is what I ate all day)
I didn't come in the way that I wanted to. I think crossing over had a lot to do with it. I didn't train like a figure athlete and add muscle. I was training for a leaner look ... and acheieve it, but then looked too out of place for figure. I won't be crossing over again.
I'm not sure what to do now. I'm sort of lost. I think I'll try an "off season" and add muscle.
