To compete, or not to compete?

9/24/10 - 3 months postpartum
126lb; 19% BF

I've decided to start NOW for a Figure Competition next Spring. I'm not spilling the beans on which one just yet. So for now I need to make a few adjustments to my diet and training to build muscle back after having Zach. I have about 7 months to prepare and I think that's enough time. If all goes to plan, I'll nurse Zach until Christmas and then switch him to solids and formula. When he does I'll be able to start dieting down and not worry about 'drying up.'

I just started to research diets and workouts. I haven't found any information about bodybuilding and breastfeeding so this will be a little tricky. So for now I'll keep my protein 150g, carbs 250-300g and fats 35g. I need to keep my calories around 1800-2000g in order to nurse. We'll see what that does. I need to remember to drink 1 gallon of water per day. I need to look into which supplements I can use besides Whey. I'd like to start taking Creatine and BCAA's.

As for my workouts, I'll do splits with little to moderate cardio, resting 1 to 2 days per week. I'll work in heavy to light cycles, drop sets, super sets, etc. Basically just get back the strength and muscle mass that I lost with pregnancy.
